Minchinhampton Parish Council has a vacancy for an Assistant to the Clerk
The role is to be responsible to, and to generally assist, the clerk in all office and administration tasks, and in dealing with inquiries in person and on the telephone from members of the public.
Based at the council’s office at The Trap House, in West End, Minchinhampton, the assistant to the clerk will take particular responsibility for the production of the council’s monthly publication “Tom Long’s Post”. The assistant will also be expected to administer the allotments’ rents and allocations, and to organise the business of the council’s monthly Planning Meeting. Training will be given as required.
The hours of work are 9am-1pm Mondays, 9am-12noon Wednesdays and Fridays. Plus one Monday evening (3 hours) a month. Making a total of 43 hours per month.
Salary will be as per the National Joint Council for Local Government Services new pay scales SCP (Spinal Column Point) 3-9, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
