Please find attached a spreadsheet containing the sites you or the town/parish council have proposed to be designated as Local Green Spaces as part of the response to South Gloucestershire Councils autumn 2013 consultation on the future Policies, Sites and Places (PSP) Plan. If spaces are designated as a local green space within the Policies, Sites and Places Plan then development would be ruled out other than in very special circumstances. Spaces should accord with the national and local guidance, which you will find attached.
In order to assess the suitability of designating the proposed spaces it is important the council has received sufficient justification for each space, i.e. why the community thinks its appropriate to designate the space. Please can you therefore review your response and update the spreadsheet as necessary.
The attached spreadsheet will be blank if the council either received no response to the autumn 2013 consultation questionnaire or that no sites were proposed. In this case, please use this opportunity to reconsider submitting local green spaces that are of particular importance to your community.
Council officers will be mapping all suitable proposed local green spaces therefore please can you ensure that the description of the space is sufficient to allow this mapping to take place. If possible, it would be very helpful if you can provide a map/plan of the spaces proposed.
- Please can you return the updated spreadsheet and maps/plans of proposed spaces to us by 11th April, via planningLDF@southglos.gov.uk.
- Please dont hesitate to contact the team if you have any questions regarding the PSP Plan or the Local Green Space Designation (LGSD).
