I would like to invite you to a rehearsed reading of a brand new play written about the First World War expressly for South Glos Schools.
This project is supported and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, South Glos Council and Brass Works Theatre and the play has been developed with the involvement of local heritage centres and school children across South Gloucestershire. The fictional characters have been developed from historical documents, stories and research from this area, and the play will hopefully engage students in the lives of people that served at home and abroad during the First World War.
I am very interested to hear thoughts from the audience about the piece while it is still being developed, therefore I am especially keen for classes of students to attend – after all the published play will be given to all schools in South Glos as a learning resource and heritage play.
Please feel free to forward the attachment of the flyer to other schools, classes, local historians, members of the council or interested parties.
Admission is free but it would be helpful if you could email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know of your intention to attend.
