hello,

i recently visited the arboretum near leyhill prison for the first time in a couple of years and was surprised to see it looking very overgrown and abandoned. anyone know what's happened to it?

The "farm shop" at Leyhill was closed late 2005 after some pretty major refurbishment work (something to do with changes in the prison policy and/or budget reasons) and my guess is that the Arboretum maintenance was a part of that deal.

Seems a shame to let it go though, was a nice walk.

I think the land is owned by the Four Pillars Hotel?? Not sure. But | agree its a mess.
