policeCrime has remained relatively low on the patch. However I have received a small number of calls regarding smashed glass and rubbish at the playing fields in Wickwar. This is obviously a worry due to smaller children playing on the equipment provided, if they trip or fall, they could injure themselves.

ApprovedSouth Gloucestershire County Council have approved the proposal at Homefield and given it planning permission with a raft of conditions that are not realistically attainable.

PolicePolice have been cracking down on speed enforcement in Wickwar and Rangeworthy. A number of drivers have been given tickets for disobeying the speed limit. The lucky ones have either had words of advice or a letter sent advising them of their actions. The beat team will be visiting the village periodically to upkeep speed enforcement in both Rangeworthy and Wickwar.

Age Concern South Gloucestershire is ‘STEPPING OUT’

Age ConcernAge Concern South Gloucestershire are starting their own nail cutting service for older people, and calling it their ‘Stepping Out’ service. This follows an extensive national campaign by Age Concern that revealed that over one third of older people over the age of sixty five, experience mobility problems because they cannot cut their own toe nails.
