Council Biodiversity Meeting

Attention: open in a new window. PrintE-mail

South Gloucestershire Council Planning & Environment is having a Biodiversity meeting on Monday 29th June 7-9pm in Kingswood Civic Centre.

The meeting is an opportunity to coordinate action for wildlife across South Gloucestershire and anyone interested in wildlife including council employees, wider organisations/ charities and residents are all invited.

My post as Biodiversity Officer for the council is coming to an end so we will also be discussing the work programme for the remaining 6 months.

One of the ideas I’d like to discuss is whether a Biodiversity Action Plan for each parish would be of any use or interest. This could be a brief summary of the key wildlife habitats and species within the parish and some key actions for their conservation taken from the BAP (available online www.southglos.gov.uk).

If any of the parish council or parishioners have any thoughts on this matter they’re welcome to attend or can email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it - tel: 01454 863776.
